Our little girl started off as a scared and starving stray pup that we found by a pond at a park, she was terrified of my husband and buddy I was with, which told me somewhat of her past, she was scared of men. She warmed up to me quickly, and immediately I knew I had to have this puppy, so our buddy drove us home and we got her situated. Our other dogs didn’t like her at first, and she was a bit stand-offish as well. Same with my husband, she didn’t like him until we had her for awhile, but she got used to him and was just the sweetest little girl. She thought she was invincible with how much she would zoom and jump around everywhere, she was so lively and energetic, and she would howl when she wanted attention… but a few months later she got sick.. the zoomies, the jumping around, the howling, it all went away.. she became so quiet, and so… just the opposite of how she used to be.. we tried and tried to convince someone to take us to get her to a vet, but nobody would, and we had no way of getting there.. she started refusing food, and we just knew.. she finally had an appointment set up, but passed away a few hours before.. I mentioned our other dogs not liking her at first, but towards the end, they knew, and they would walk her to the water bowl to drink when she was able to get up, and would stay with her right up until the very end.. our little Cocoa Bean was the sweetest, happiest, most chaotic and energetic puppy there was, we called her our little holy terrorist, it was heartbreaking when she stopped with all she used to do.. but we know she is now in a better place, and although her life may have been short, we made sure to give her the best last few months a puppy could have ever wanted.
