Bean, Beana Weena, Beanie Boo, My bestest girl. You might think by the title that this cat was my foster cat but the reality is that I was her foster girl. My names Kenzie and I got Bean a couple of months after I turned 13 years old and in foster care. My foster parent at the time heard my begs and pleas for a fluffy cat and surprised me one day with pictures of tiny babies. She had already “chosen” Bean but she still gave me the options. I saw my girl and knew immediately that was my baby. I remember the anticipation and waiting game from February to March and constantly asking “Can we go get my Bean?” I finally got my girl on March 6th, 2016. It was the day she turned 6 weeks old. Since that day this cat was my absolute rock and shoulder to cry on. Growing up in foster care came with many inconsistencies and lots of unanswered questions but, I had my bean. When I was 15 and Bean was 2, we found out forever home with an amazing family who graciously took us both. Our mom owned a flower shop here in Texarkana and that’s where Bean got to live for the next almost 6 years of her life. She was the best greeter to everyone who entered and loved on everyone she could. When I turned 20 and moved out of state, I finally decided to take Beanie Girl with me. I had the privilege of spending her last couple of years with her and loving her the best ways I knew how. I will miss her forever and some more. Bean is will always be my soul kitty and I will never find another one like her. I love you, Bean.
