Cooper was a long haired dachshund. He absolutely LOVED to be petted, and when you werent petting him, he would start scratching your chest as a motion to let you know he wanted to be petted. He was extremely well behaved and highly spirited, however he followed his nose anytime he caught a scent of something. He would completely ignore you calling him once his nose went off. He loved food of all kind, Caesar salad was by far his favorite, in fact everyone outside of family called him the salad dog. He also loved fishing and had a vengeance out for fish. He knew the sound the poles made when one was hooked and he would go crazy. He would go everywhere with me when I wasnt at work and if he wasnt allowed then I was not going. My husband and I even snuck him on our honeymoon for a week, even though the Airbnb was no dogs allowed. we made sure he was included in everything. We would take him golfing with us and he absolutely loved going on the boat. We dont have kids, so he was as close as we had. He was treated as good as or better than any kid out there and the way he carried himself, he knew it. He was nervous around new people but was so sweet at the same time. He was a mamas boy more than anything. If I was around he didnt want anybody but me. If I wasnt there then daddy was who he wanted. Monday morning on November 7th, 2022 Cooper got ran over. He NEVER went to the road, when he would venture off it would be to my husbands grandmothers and moms house which was down the driveway from our house, we never thought about him going to the road so it was a shocker that he did. He was our world and we are so crushed without him. I just hope he knew how much we loved him and that he will always be a staple in our marriage.
